Rajasthan Technical University was set up in 2005 by Govt. of Rajasthan to enhance technical education in Rajasthan. The university aims to cater almost all discipline related to technical education in Rajasthan. At present 60 Engineering Colleges, 8 M.Tech Colleges, 21 MCA Colleges, 69 MBA Colleges and 3 Hotel Management and Catering Institute are affiliated to the University. Rajasthan Technical University Kota conducts RPET (Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test), RMAT and RAMCAAT annually to admit new students in its different academic programs. Apart from the technical courses, post graduate programmes in management are also conducted by the RTU Kota. Part time courses are run for employed students.
