Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) is a State Agricultural University with specialization in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. The university is one of the pioneer institutes related to Veterinary Research and Extension in Central India. It has been established to enlighten and empower students by imparting advanced knowledge in the fields of animal and fishery sciences through innovative ways, very efficiently and effectively. MAFSU was formally notified on November 17th, 2000 and was established under the State Act No. 1998 (MAH.XVII of 1998) on December 3rd, 2000 with its headquarter at Nagpur.
