IIS University is a Deemed University and a Pioneer Institute for Women’s Education. The IISU is a part of IIS Institutional Group which is run by the Indian Council for International Amity and which is a registered non-governmental organization. It was established as International College for Girls (ICG) on 16th July, 1995 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan. In 1999 it became a Postgraduate College. In 2005, ICG was been given the CPE status i.e. a ‘College with Potential for Excellence’, status by UGC. The college is one among the 50 colleges in India identified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the CPE scheme during phase-II.
