Late. Vaidyaraj P.D. Muley was established Vidarbha Ayurved Prasarak Mandal to promote Indian system of Medicine which is a part of Swadeshi Mission of Mahatma Gandhi to promote Indian culture during British era. As a part of this mission mandal has established Vidarbha Ayurved Mahavidyalaya to educate, evaluate and establishment of Indian systems of medicine i.e Ayurveda to the youths of India. It was the first Mahavidyalaya of Ayurved in Vidarbha region. Firstly, Ayurved college, Hospital & well equipped Pharmacy was established by Mandal. In 1983, Vidarbha Ayurved Prasarak mandal was in to Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal. After that our college and Hospital has been developed very fastly in 1989. College has started New P.G courses in the Department of Shalya, Shalakya / Kayachikitsa & Swasthavritta. In 2008 Mahavidyalaya becomes the first Ayurvedic Institute having well equipped computer Laboratory & Internet facilities in India. So as to teach essentials of Computer Science to future doctors practicing Indian system of Medicine. It will help to promote New Research techniques and Methodologies in Ayurvedic Science and In 2001 Institute has established large farmhouse having cultivation of 150 Ayurvedic Plants to near by farmers and fresh & Inorganic crude drugs to our well equipped Pharmacy. Now it is well developed large & unique among all Ayurvedic Colleges in India.
College has well equiped 14 deptts with well qualified teaching staff and all research facilities
